 This legislation removes the prohibition against State Defense officers from being entitled to the same benefits as those serving in the National Guard, such as the right to continue to be paid by the county for up to 18 days per yer while performing ordered military duty or up to 30 days during a state of emergency when called to duty by the Governor.

This legislation creates the Georgia Unmanned Aircraft Systems Commission, a fifteen member commission that includes the appointment of one county commissioner. The Commission will study the use and benefits of drones in Georgia. SB 325 preempts any county attempt to regulate the use of drones.

This legislation mandates that the state obtain certification on every contract over $1,000 for construction, services, supplies or information technology that the other party does not presently conduct a boycott of Israel.

It had earlier applied to city and county contracts as well; however, that language was stripped out of the bill in House Committee.

 This proposed constitutional amendment provides that an amount equal to 10 percent of the increase in the amount of the total treasury receipts from existing revenue sources anticipated to be collected in the current fiscal year above the amount collected in the previous fiscal year shall be appropriated to public road and bridge purposes and for grants to counties and cities for road purposes.

This legislation calls for a statewide referendum to amend the constitution to prohibit public retirement and pension systems to invest funds in foreign states that sponsor terrorism and in entities that engage in certain for profit activities with a foreign state that sponsors terrorism.
